Row had to come home early because he was running a 100.8 fever and had a sore throat. Strep Throat was confirmed this morning by his doctor. Sweetheart is also out of town running in the Walt Disney 1/2 Marathon this weekend, and thankfully I asked for PTO at work to be able to take boys to and from school. While my plans have been drastically altered, they weren't a total wash.
On the way to the doctor's office, my thoughts were that if you could only stockpile one trade item, it would have to be antibiotics. You could practically name your own price in a SHTF scenario, or make some indebted friends. One of my many bookmarked sites is: LINK HERE
Keep Right On Prepping - K
It always amazed me while working for Army VETCOM, the fact that we can take the same meds that would be prescribed for our pets. I recall one Vet coming in with a cold and popping Clavamox. Its all about dosage. Thanks for sharing that link. Its one thing we need to addto our preps.
ReplyDeleteYour welcome. I'd hate to think that something would happen to Senior or the boys once/if/when the SHTF, with such a currently plentiful remedy.
DeleteI agree, I finally got a few put back and am hoping to get more. Funny how they are one of the most important things you should have on hand but for most people one of the last things they get. I have the survival medicine handbook by Dr. Bones and Nurse Amy it has a whole chapter on fish antibiotics and dosages.
ReplyDeleteThat is one of the books on my to purchase list! How do you like it?
DeleteI really like it, lots of info well worth the price.
