Our New House

As most of you can guess by my lack of postings, we are very busy. The weather has been absolutely the worst for moving. School has been going good, but it has turned into a juggling match between school, moving, chores, and family. Our old house is dirty and unorganized, I have a brown paper bag to place over my head when I get out of the car to go inside.

Here are the pictures:

Upgrading from a carport to a garage

The other side

A fireplace so that Santa can make a proper entrance

The breakfast area with photo taken from kitchen

The back of the house

Our first walk-in closet (aka the gun room)

I've got a paintbrush calling my name...

  1. Can we take bets on whether you actually get to turn that closet into a gun room? Odds? Book keeper :)

    1. Met one today, seemed nice and offered to help if I needed anything, but we are pretty self-sufficient.

  3. Nice upgrade, I like the bay windows in the breakfast area. We have them in our bedroom, while adding to the visibility. The garage will pay off too. Good job.

  4. It's a great house ! It does not look like there is too much to do to make it move in ready, and for that I am grateful. My prediction is that you will have it organized, stocked and ready for life in no time ! Good job, my friend !

    1. The house has tons of storage space compared to our starter home. The house is big enough that we can empty a room to paint/organize. The pictures don't show how poorly the painter painted, ergo I plan on repainting most of the interior to my standards. There will be lots of projects to post on the blog!

    1. Thanks, it's still in the city burbs, but hoping to build in the country in 5-6 years.

  8. I can see lots of potential in your new house. The Bay windows are adorable, and I would imagine that it looks perfect with a breakfast setting. This is a great find for a house, and I hope you have merry years in your new abode!

  9. The long wait finally paid off. Congratulations! It’s just like yesterday when you started your house hunting quest. But now, you‘re busy on your big move. I just hope everything will continue to progress smoothly, so you can finally relax in your new place.
