Will do. Hard to keep stuff in an uninsulated house that never stays at their recommended temperature, and ground that is too wet for a cellar, but I appreciate all your articles this month, K.
ReplyDeleteBe safe and God bless you all.
Less than ideal storage temperatures reduce the shelf life of these goods. In your situation, I'd probably go with canned goods and pay attention to the "best buy" dates. Most warehouses are not air conditioned or climate controlled, and remember that the food doesn't magically go bad one day after the "use by" date. It'll take years to slower lose nutritional value, color, and taste.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe, and thanks for commenting so much over the last month. It's nice to know that I'm not mindlessly chanting a mantra onto the internet.
Thanks for the extra information. I can definitely do canned goods and I always try to rotate.
DeleteDo you think spices are best freeze dried? I know most are, but the ones I buy in the store go stale pretty quickly.
God bless.
